Meanwhile the Amakhosi coach believes that there is plenty of pressure that comes with sitting on top of the league, but he believes that his players can handle that pressure.

Chiefs dominated the match, as they had the first scoring opportunity as early as the secong minute of the game. AMAZULU HOLD PIRATES TO A 0-0 DRAW

League Champions Orlando Pirates were held to a draw By Durban based Amazulu. After performing very bad since the start of the season, Amazulu have put aside their disappointing form.

Usuthu should give more credit to their goalkeeper though, as he had to make a couple of saves to protect his Goalposts. Bucs really dominated  the game and they were the ones with better scoring chances.
Pirates were on the no two spot in the league table, with four points behind leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

Chiefs played to a 1-1 draw against Maritzburg United on friday, which mean that Pirated will remain on that four points behind Chiefs.

EASTERN CAPE ANC SUPPORTS ZUMA

Reports on the Dispatch online say that the ANC in the Eastern Cape, has sent a team to three separate Provinces to canvass support for Zuma. So that he can stay in office for the second term. The ANC provincial secretary Oscar Mabuyane said a team led by the Provincial Chairperson Phumulo Masualle, had already met with other ANC counterparts in KZN, Mpumalanga and the Free State province.

The ANC in the Eastern Cape has made it clear that they want to retain Zuma as the ANC President Kgalema Motlanthe as Deputy and Baleka Mbete as Chaiperson and Mantashe as secretary general. Now where i am standing I think the only thing that will decide who stays and who goes is the Mangaung Conference that will sit in December.

A quote in the Daily Dispatch online of Tuesday 26 th,by Barney Pityana said: "we must blame nobody but ourselves for the tragedy of our education system,a collapsing healthcare system"

He says we should blame ourselves because we the people, are the ones who elect a Government to rule the country. "We have elected a Government without any intelligence collectively to understand what must be done"said Pityana.

Mr Pityana was speaking in Grahamstown on Monday at Kingswood College's annual memorial lecture to celebrate the life of anti-apartheid activist Neil Aggett. He said people must stop their tendency of blaming, the country's short comings on the Apartheid past.

NOW A TWEET CAN GET YOU ''KELLOGS CRISPS''

Kim Murray, the first Tweetshop shopper

I don't know whether its a great way of Advertising or attracting customers. Kellogs is now looking at bridging the gap, between social currency and real life money,by letting customers at a central london store pay for Special K cracker crisps with a tweet.Allowing consumers to spend their social currency isn't just a good promotional gimmick. It is a concrete illustration of the value that Twitter holds in the real world, as well as a demonstration of how our online and offline lives are merging.

All you need to write on your tweet is :#tweetshop hashtag. It seems like this new trend will not only take place in London. Because this summer in Cape Town a vending machine is set up to deliver free BOS tea. These brands are really going out of their way to improve sales.

ZUMA PLANS ACTION ON MALEMA!!

Julius Malema (AP)

The fact that he was suspended from the ANC youth league, was not enough to silence Julius Malema or perhaps maybe keep his mouth shut. Malema is still making news even though he was suspended. On Tuesday this week Malema was addressing a group of miners, near Carlentonville.

He urged the workers to continue striking until members of the National Union of Mineworkers stepped down. Now The President Jacob Zuma, seems like he got enough of Juju's visits to the mines. As a result the President has engaged with Ministers concerned with this, to discuss ways on how to deal with Malema.

This mining strike has really caused some Political tension in this country. It is also clear that it will not come to any solution soon.

AMLA'S NEW RECORD

The South African Batsman hashimla has made yet, another record for himself and Proteas. The crickinfo records has revealed that Amla is now a sole record holder. Amla has top scored  for the proteas in seven successive internationals in which he has participated.

Now according to reports on news24 the Proteas coach Gary Kirsten, will unfortunately miss the Proteas final Twenty 20 international against England.Reason being that Kirsten will be spending time with his family here in South Africa. One can hope that we will do better even with his absence.

With Amla in the batting department none can go wrong. Kirsten will join the boys on Saturday in Colombo Sri-Lanka ahead of the ICC world T20 starting next week.

JUJU'S VISIT TO THE STRIKING MINERS

The expelled ANC youth league president Julius Malema, visited the Greenfields branch of the Lonmin mines. Accorfing to reports in the City Press Malema was accusing the president of failing the miners.

Malema also believes that the mine owners give a lot of money, to Jacob Zuma trusts account. Which might be the reason why the Govrnment has distanced itself from this issue. Juju also said the workers should strike at least 4 days in each and every month.

PROTEAS 5TH SERIES

The South African cricket team will be looking, at yet achieving another victory against England. According to reports the proteas want to keep England of their backs. Hashim Amla who was the first, South African batsman to reach a triple century is the man that many will put thier hope on.

This tour has really proved to be a success, for the proteas. Many commentators say that the Bowling department in very safe with the likes of Tsotsobe and Steyn to mention a few. The only concern is in the batting side.In reality we can't only depend on Hashim Amla, and Kallis. As it seems like the will be no any batsman to replace the two, because they are the best. Our hope is on the young cricketers playing countyside cricket maybe we can have some future stars from there. All eyes will be looking at today's ODI as the boys want to remain victorious and  on top of their game.

IGESUND'S STARTING ELEVEN

The new Bafana Coach Gordon iGesund, has named his starting eleven players to face brazil. Suprisingly so about 7 players in his squad will be having their first international caps. His strategy is that iGesund wants to start playing some attacking football.

From where I stand i dont think this is a good idea,  especially with a team like Brazil. I guess we can never decide especially with a coach like igesund because the guy has experiende.lets hope that, he has a good strategy up his sleeve.Maybe we are in for a big suprise.

POLITICAL QUALIFICATIONS IN THE ANC

There is a new issue which has come to my attention regarding the African National Congress.Which is the need for someone to be, politically qualified in order for that person to say something in the ruling party. An article that appeared in the Daily Dispatch, about two weeks back said that Julius Malema is politically qualified because he attended Chris Hani's funeral in the 1990's.

The party's secretary general Gwede Mantashe is said to be unqualified, simply because he holds no Academic qualification in politics. Now I continually ask myself how will we survive in such an environment. whereby in order for something to be approved, it must be a suggestion from someone who is politically qulified.

FATHERS DAY!!

Today I woke up thinking about the role fathers play in ggrowing their kids.I think at some point they also deserve some credit.According to my view and someone who, also agrees with me a father is supposed to be a provider,a protector to his family. To those fathers who know that role and who fulfil it I`m lifting my thumbs up for them.

Then there is a problem of people whom have never seen, their fathers since they were born.I mean you cant really stand up proud and claim that person is  your father. It is really said and depressing at the same time. The role of a father is  to care for his or her kids,to love his wife. Also to lead by example and ,be a role model.

THE JUNE 16TH.

Since I can remember, my elders  have always always told me this about the June 16th:It is a day whereby we remember our students who died from police brutality in 1976.From my knowledge the students were protesting against the Bantu education, which enforced them to be taught in Afrikaans in all their languages.

Now people I think i`m very  worried about the value of this day, because it seems like many of us have lost the real definition of the day.I think the current Youth League is not as vibrant and goal driven as the 1976 youth were. The first thing that rings on the youth of today when you talk about the June 16, is going to the beach and maybe drinking alcohol till dawn.I think this is a problem and a very big one.

THE PRESIDENT`S PAINTING

I really dont know where do I stand regarding the President Zuma`s art painting.I write this prior to reading an Article in the Sunday Times, the article was explaining the reason as to why Advocate Manindi cried in public. From my own perspective, I see nothing wrong with the painting its just a display of art and freedom of expression.I just feel its given attention since it concerns the President.

Maybe if it was just me the fuss would`nt be that much.We agreed to freedom of expression in our bill of writes. So freedom of expression is part of the parcel.Should we really say that the article is racially associated does it really bring back those apartheid scars.I dont  think so.The question is how do you feel.

LOVING MY MOTHER TONGUE.

Today I woke up thinking about something I love, people i`m really in love with the spoken word.Which is poetry in this sense, and I love writing it using ISIXHOSA my mother tongue.I have a problem with the value of this language I think in a few years time, the language will not be published.

Nowadays you find a group of young, black Xhosa speaking children. You find that they communicate in English and fluently, the tone even changes. Not that I have a problem with English, but I think we should really look back.Yes its a fact that English is a universal language, but I think we need to give our languages a platform. It becomes a suprise that a xhosa speaking child doesn`t know(Inkomo). and yet she/he knows that its a cow in english. This issue is serious guys and its food for thought, because we are really loosing it.

Monday, 5 March 2012

hey people yesterday i heard something so scary, worried about the futui\re of our country. This is about something that was written by our former president Mr Nelson Mandela,he wrote this while in Robben Island and I QUOTE ``The issue of nationalisation of mines, banks is the policy of the ANC``.

I  dont understand what does this say about our so called democratic South Africa.I would appreciate if someone can bring me to light. The democratic South Africa of the secrecy bill, where people are prevented from accessing information.
